Very striking handsome Ourika Valley Kilim from the 1980's. Woven in dark brown wool featuring an abstract Berber design of electric zigzags in neon pink and yellow with bright red, orange and blue. This is an absolutely stunning tribal piece – very rare and in excellent condition.
Ourika Valley rugs originate from Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco. They practice a traditional way of life in a largely unspoilt place of natural beauty, despite the proximity to Marrakech.
