Vintage Boujad Rugs

Boujad pile-woven tribal rugs hail from the Al Haouz region which lies south-east of Marrakech in Morocco. Not overly formal, these Berber rugs are truly artistic. Predominantly red, orange and pink, they feature complex geometric patterns of squares and diamonds, idiosyncratic shapes according to the whim of the weaver. Boujad rugs are truly an artistic feast for the eyes.

Handwoven from natural sheep’s wool coloured with vegetable dyes which gives them their vibrant colours. Many of our vintage Boujad rugs have naturally faded over the years giving them a wonderfully soft, relaxed bohemian vibe.
