A funky 1970's Boujad runner rug in Rastafarian colours – its bright and bold design celebrates the African influence on Moroccan aesthetics at that time. This is a rug of two halves – possibly created as two separate pieces then joined together or maybe a considered design. To one end, multicoloured blocks are woven together creating a checkerboard effect while the other half features tribal motifs entwined together, an abstract continuation of the checkerboard design.

This piece encapsulates the style of Berber tribal weaving at this time and the nearby African influences. An authentic piece of Berber design history.
