An impressive and luxurious, thick pile Berber sleeping carpet from the Beni Ouarain tribe. This would have been woven specifically for domestic use – for comfort and warmth. This rug features an intricate diamond and zigzag design that truly demonstrates the weaver’s skill. Handwoven from 100% natural sheep’s wool indigenous to the Atlas Mountains. Super heavy, it weighs approx. 35kg. Pieces of this quality and condition have pretty much disappeared from the market now.

WHAT MAKES THIS RUG SPECIAL? It is signed and dated (1985) by the weaver, which is very rare to find on this style of rugs.
