Boucherouite rugs are a riot of colour – pinks, blues, reds and yellows – all jostling for attention in wildly exuberant patterns, sometimes geometric, sometimes totally abstract. Boucherouite is a Moroccan term for “rag”. Typically, these colourful rugs were made from a variety of recycled textile rags.
Beldi Boucherouite rag rugs all handmade vintage pieces which were made for domestic use in Berber homes. Quite unlike new ones, which are all produced in co-operative workshops for the tourist market.
Machine-washable and easy to maintain. If you’re looking for something chunky, funky and fun to brighten up your home then a Boucherouite rug is for you!
