Boucherouite 133
Boucherouite 133
£800.00
A beautiful and unusual Boucherouite rug, handwoven from wool as well as the more traditional recycled textile rags. This piece is dated circa 1980 and originates from the Azilal region in the High Atlas Mountains. An irregular geometric block design of bold colours – blue, red, and black with the occasional flick of yellow and turquoise. The rug’s design also features the occasional tribal motif. This abstract design, and its colour palette, is synonymous with the Azilal rugs that come from the same Berber tribe.
