A very fine quality, handwoven Moroccan thick pile wool rug, which is fabulously soft to touch. Features an oversized, abstract tribal block-band design. Simply wonderful – woven to an exceptionally high quality. It could easily be mistaken for a vintage piece since its colour palette is synonymous with older, traditional Boujad* rugs.

Despite being brand new, this is still a one of a kind rug, made for domestic use rather than the tourist trade. Unlike many of the low grade wool, mass produced factory pieces, our modern Berber rugs are all handwoven. A new generation of indigenous Moroccan tribeswomen continue the art handed down to them by their foremothers. To this day, they continue the artisan weaving techniques taught to them.

*Berber rugs from the Boujad area are made by the women of Berber tribes in the Haouz region of Morocco.
