Ait Ouaouzguit is a tribal area within the vast Siroua mountain range (south-west of Ouarzazate, High Atlas, Southern Morocco) and the historic home to Berber tribes whose economy is primarily farming. They are best known for their indigenous sheep breed, the Siroua sheep.

Berber women in the tribes of the Ait Ouaouzguit region are respected throughout Morocco and the rest of the world for their superior quality handwoven wool rugs and carpets.

This is a brand new, contemporary Moroccan rug handwoven by artisan techniques. Each one is produced by using a simple knotting technique, which is a lengthy process but results in a very high quality and durable rug designed to last for many decades.
