Handsome vintage 1970’s Beni Ouarain rug in a soft, natural colour palette. Tribal symbols feature throughout the organic diamonds depicting a story unique to the weaver. A very confident Berber design. Reddish-orange details and bands on the flat weave section.

The measurements are uncommon for these type of rugs; typically they are very long and thin to work specifically for traditional local architecture. More modern pieces can be found with these proportions as they are made for the tourist market and more modern home proportions but it is highly irregular for such an old piece.

WHAT MAKES THIS RUG SPECIAL? This rug is from the same house (and likely same weaver) as Beni Ouarain 301. If you are looking for multiple pieces, we recommend buying as a mismatched pair. Acquiring two pieces from the same house is really quite special and a total rarity.
