Boucherouite 133

Boucherouite 133

A beautiful and unusual Boucherouite rug handwoven from wool as well as the more traditional recycled textile rags. This piece is dated circa 1980 and originates from the Azilal region in the High Atlas Mountains. An irregular geometric block design of bold colours – blue, red, and black with the occasional flick of yellow and turquoise – with occasional tribal motifs. Its overall abstract design and colour palette is synonymous with Azilal rugs.
