1980's Boucherouite from the Azilal region (High Atlas). Very organic in shape, this is a bold and colourful Boucherouite piece. Bright red, orange, yellow, green, purple and black repeat pattern – tribal lozenge-diamond motifs which graduate in size from one end to the other – with accents and blocks of faded dark red, candy pink and chalk blue. Long tassels to one end. Just a beautiful example of Berber weaving. Very unusual in its design and incredibly striking – a collector's piece.
